Serena Williams’ Real Estate Empire: Mansions & Million-Dollar Homes

Serena Williams, a global icon of tennis, has translated her success on the court into a formidable real estate empire. With a portfolio that includes lavish mansions and multi-million-dollar homes, Williams has showcased her eye for design and investment savvy. Here’s a look into some of her most notable properties.

The Custom-Built Florida Mega-Mansion

Williams’ primary residence is a stunning custom-built mega-mansion in Jupiter, Florida. Purchased in 2017 for $5.7 million, the riverfront estate was a Mediterranean-style home before Williams, with the help of her sister and fellow tennis legend Venus Williams and her design firm, V Starr, embarked on a complete overhaul. The result is an ultramodern retreat designed to her specifications. The property, now valued at well over $10 million, features unique amenities such as an art gallery, a trophy room, and a 620-square-foot closet. It was the first time Serena “moved away” from Venus, with whom she has a very close bond.

Beverly Hills Abode

In 2017, Serena also added a posh Beverly Hills property to her collection. The brand-new, five-bedroom, 6,000-square-foot home was purchased for $6.68 million. This West Coast abode features oak flooring, an open floor plan, and walls of glass. Amenities include a gym, a wine cellar, and a bar, with the grounds boasting a pool and an outdoor kitchen.

Bel-Air Estate

Around the same time she acquired the Beverly Hills home, Williams was ready to say goodbye to her long-time Bel-Air residence. The elegant seven-bedroom estate, measuring over 6,100 square feet, was built in 1935. She purchased the home in 2006 for $6.612 million and listed it for $12 million in 2017 before selling it for $8.1 million in 2019. The property featured a semicircular living room, white marble flooring, and extensive gardens.

Palm Beach Paradise

Serena and Venus Williams have a long history of real estate collaboration, including a home they purchased together in the BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. They paid $525,000 for the acre of land in 1998 and built a mansion on it, which they later sold in 2019 for $2.3 million. Serena also owned another home nearby, a 5,600-square-foot mansion that she bought in 2015 for $2.5 million and sold in 2021 for $2.8 million.

Williams’ real estate portfolio demonstrates a keen business sense, with properties across the country that not only provide luxurious living spaces but also serve as winning investments.
